Minister to speak at Australian Space Forum
Minister for Space and Science, Innovation and Technology, Judith Collins, is set to travel to Adelaide tomorrow for a series of engagements focused on space, biotechnology, and innovation. Collins will be speaking at the Australian Space Forum and meeting with key figures in the space and biotech sectors. Minister Judith Collins to Promote NZ Space Sector in Adelaide “New Zealand’s space sector is thriving, and we are committed to fostering innovation and building partnerships with international space agencies, including those in Australia,” said Collins. “I look forward to promoting New Zealand’s space sector and enhancing trans-Tasman collaboration during the Forum.” The Australian Space Forum, an annual international event, will host 1,000 representatives from government agencies and the private sector. Adelaide, home to the Australian Space Agency and SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre, is a hub for world-leading innovation. “Biotechnology offers enormous benefits for New Zealand. We are keen to learn from Australia’s experience in liberalizing genetic modification rules and introducing a gene technology regulator,” Collins added. “I am particularly interested in their current clinical trials and cancer therapy developments.” Collins will return to New Zealand on Thursday after her engagements in Adelaide.
